Heavy table lamp that aficionados of warm copper and brass skins may feel drawn to and enticed with deeply incised floral, flame or arrow adornments arranged in a distinct and uncluttered manner across the surface of the base. The edge is scalloped and houses an iron weight that mirrors the shape of the base. The column is made of brass and is topped with couplers of the same metal; these appear to be newer installs. The socket looks to be of the original period and has not been tested as the cord has been severed. This base will serve as an excellent foundation to finish the lamp. Suggestions for restoration follow below. Height – 14 inches. Weight – 3 lb 11 oz. Check, clean, repair or replace socket. Add a new cord set. Add a bulb clip-on harp or a heavy duty harp, depending on your shade. Add a felt pad to protect delicate surfaces. A small old-world reading lamp frame with a Euro-type socket still intact has a stylish and sleek design sporting fabulous Art Deco starburst motifs around the base and corresponding deep ribbing along the curved organic stem. All other electric parts are absent. The socket swivel has aged beautifully and is remarkably still tight after nearly a century of use. The near black-bronze surface has some blemishes commensurate with age but I see so structural defects, damages or repairs. Amp base is being offered for restoration. Height – 10 inches. A regal lamp with 2 protruding side flowers and a center leaf, all in excellent condition. Supported by 4 claw feet on a round reticulated base, this lovely light retains a gold finish seemingly free of major surface blemishes. The lamp has been professionally updated, including a new fabric bronze wire and plug, a dual socket assembly and a riser to support a dream shade. Unused since the update, it has been sitting in storage for over 15 years. Although new, the sockets have been affected by the passage of time and the pull chains do not move. One socket is on and the other remains off. A simple cleaning and lubrication may be all that is required. Height – 21 1/2 inches. Weight – 3 lbs 12 oz.
