Really beautiful art deco ceiling light. The metal has some wear from age which is to be expected. We have left this in as found condition so it could use a good cleaning. As you can see from the pics the canopy has been painted white and one of the pieces that would go around the lightbulb is not there. This lamp is on display for sale at an art gallery. Presented for Your Consideration. 3 elephants stand back to back to form the basis for a distinctive lamp platform. They are affixed to an angular tiered foundation with strong Art Deco characteristics. All parts appear to be original and in fine working order. The figure and base are free of structural issues and show some surface wear consistent with age. The 3 1/4 inch shade fitter still retains the original screw and seems to be in very good condition. The old socket, rotary switch and cord set works and shows no electrical issues. I’ve left the worn socket cover intact for purist collectors. The base switch clicks with confidence. Height (base to socket top) – 6 inches. Weight – 2 lb 8 oz. All electric parts should be checked before use. Heavy table lamp that aficionados of warm copper and brass skins may feel drawn to and enticed with deeply incised floral, flame or arrow adornments arranged in a distinct and uncluttered manner across the surface of the base. The edge is scalloped and houses an iron weight that mirrors the shape of the base. The column is made of brass and is topped with couplers of the same metal; these appear to be newer installs. The socket looks to be of the original period and has not been tested as the cord has been severed. This base will serve as an excellent foundation to finish the lamp. VTG Art Deco Nouveau Arts & Craft Lamp. Female Figure / Warrior with Sword. Pulled Feather Art Glass Shade. I pack professionally to facilitate your damage-free receipt. And you will have to file your own claim. This lamp is presently on display for sale in a fine art gallery. Art Glass Shade Included. Presented for Your Consideration. An outstanding and rare find indeed. A female fighter in sparse functional attire wielding a mighty blade and perhaps once a banner now lost in the past, as discussed below. Befitting a fearless warrior, she is bare breasted to allow unencumbered armed movement and wears her hair up in a classical style. Parts of her legs are covered in strips of pleated fabric anchored by an Amazonian belt, again providing ample air flow and unrestricted movement. She stands firmly planted on a tiered rectangular base. A serpentine lamp stem winds its way behind her, in excellent condition, firmly attached to her back. It ends above her in a metal floral socket cover, original socket with a fitter shade holder and crowned by a beautiful petite vintage art glass shade with flowing colors and pattern. Her features are fine and expertly rendered. Some surface loss is present. The figure’s left hand is shaped to grasp an object, most likely a flag or banner post. Pulled and sculpted hot glass would also make an interesting medium for this purpose. The fabric covered wire is without a break and the old plug looks to be in good condition, with the paper cover still intact and in remarkably fine shape. The lamp is in good working order and all parts appear to be original and solidly assembled despite the passage of nearly a century. A spectacle of contrasts in full display between the metal base and the glass shade, compares dark against light, color versus abyss and mortality in the light of immutability, seemingly scaled in geologic time. A female figure in reclining pose casts eyes skyward past an oblong moon with alabaster ambitions. The figure base is in excellent condition less some surface wear commensurate with age. A lovely green patina has developed within the crevices and complements the shade colors nicely. I’ve updated all electric parts including a socket with a cutting-edge design, a low-profile rotary switch and a black fabric cord with a right-angled plug. The base is protected with a felt pad. Height (base to shade top) – 15 inches. Depth – 4 1/2. Weight – 4 lb 7 oz. Height – 8 1/2. Depth – 3 1/2. Width – 4 1/2. I made the art glass shade in my Seattle studio around 2008 but finished it to fit this lamp base today. I drilled the opening and hand-ground it to fit snugly onto the lamp’s shade holder and its 4 small tabs. The glass can be rotated to present different faces. A 60 watt equivalent LED bulb was used in the pictures and will accompany the lamp. An inexpensive LED-compatible electric dimmer will best optimize the lamp’s color changing capabilities. Price has been adjusted following revelation of lamp’s provenance. Harald Sorensen Ringi – circa 1899. All reasonable offers welcome. Presented for Your Consideration. I brought her down, wiped off the dust, fixed the broken cord and added a bulb and shade. She came to life instantly and I knew I couldn’t return her to the shadows. She is a “Star Child”, with her emblem on her belt. She stands with an arm across her face; whether in modesty, reflexive or in a state of swoon – I cannot say. I only know I cannot keep my eyes off of her for very long. A full tapered dress clings to her body like a second suit of skin and fans discreetly at her feet, yielding a glimpse of a tiny foot. The lamp stem is more like a dance partner, closely following every curve of her form. And as such, it remains solid, steadfast and supportive of our human actor. I cannot tell what metal this lamp is made from. A magnet does not attract. Spelter of this age will crack or break when damaged but this base bottom has only become mildly deformed sometime in the past. It still sits flat. The lamp stem is without separation and is still securely attached to the figure’s back and roundish base. The push switch on the original socket is sticky but operational. I’ve added a switch to the cord to bypass this temperament. The art glass shade is riding on the light bulb with a clip-on unit. More secure means of attachment are available if desired. I made the glass shade in my studio; it is 1 of 4. Height – 12 inches. Weight – 2 lbs 3 oz. Weight – 1 lb 8 oz. Add harp and riser, optional. Apply felt to base bottom to protect delicate surfaces. Vtg 21 Art Deco Jadeite Uranium Slag Vaseline Houze Glass Table Lamp Akro Agate

Here is a nice vintage Uranium Glass Art Deco Table lamp. It measures 21′ tall to the top of the finial. It is in good condition as you can see in the pics. It works, but the outer silk insulation shows wear, i would recommend rewiring if so desired. I have not cleaned/detailed it, it could us a light cleaning. This is a local estate find here in the Endless Mountains region of Northeast Pa and has not been offered on the market before. Thanks for looking, and have a great day!
