Gorgeous Antique Wall Lamps. These are original fixtures from the early 1900’s. They have been rewired, new sockets added, and they are working well and ready to hang. The painted finish has been cleaned, while leaving the little “personality” marks that give it age and history. No chips or cracks in the brass. The candle covers have a few tiny marks here or there. The pastel peach color pleated clip-on shades look amazing, with only light marks on the interior lining that don’t show through. No rips or holes. The switch on the front of each sconce works great. Each light uses one chandelier-base light bulb up to 40 watts, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like. The light bulbs shown ARE INCLUDED, however they’re not brand new so we don’t know how much life is left in them. Wall mount screws are not included. Vintage NUART Art Deco Nude Candlestick Holder Lamp 1923 WORKS 15
Classic NUART, though cannot find any stamps, this lovely lady is holding up a candlestick that holds a lightbulb. Uncertain if the cord is original, but it is DEFINITELY old, has EXPOSED WIRE, and should MOST LIKELY be replaced. It’s been tested, and it works, but the wires have SPARKED. Additionally, the candlestick and its little holder are a bit loose, so could definitely do with some regluing, or whatever else might work. Regardless, the piece is in excellent condition otherwise, and is extremely hard to find. Make her part of your collection today! 15″ x 3.5″ x 3.5. Not quite your style? Make sure to check out the rest of our listings – we’ve got plenty of FRANKART and NUART pieces (and otherwise) sure to suit your discerning taste!
Vintage August Moreau Art Deco/Art Nouveau Table Lamp
August Moreau Art Deco /Art Nouveau Table Lamp. Art Nouveau Table Lamp WORKING – This is an antique bronze table lamp signed Auguste Moreau. The piece depicts a lovely woman dressed in a beautiful flowing dress, with flowers surrounding her. This lamp is very large with three flower vine intwined lamps with lovely amber shades. Base is a very detailed bed of flowers. Has a lovely patina. She does have some chipping on her arm that adds to vintage piece. Easy fix I believe. This is truly a magnificent piece that would be a focal point to any room. Moreau was born in Paris in 1834, the youngest son of sculptor and painter Jean-Baptiste Moreau. He studied with his father and also under Augustin Drumont and Jean Thomas. In 1861, Auguste made his debut at the Salon where he would exhibit regularly until 1913. His subjects were primarily young maidens sensuously clad in swirling dress and usually decorated with flowers and birds or allegorical and genre scenes incorporating cupids and young children. His style was realistic and graceful, and his works encapsulate a feeling of innocence whilst incorporating an air of mischievous game.
