It is oval in shape with a stepped design; it truly echoes the era, resembling the streamlined shapes of ocean liners and 1930s modernist architecture. It has been rewired with silk covered braided cable and with a new, brass, bulb holder. I’ve paired it with a modern oval lamp shade which works perfectly with the base. A rare and stylish item.
