Vntg 50’s Italy Murano Toso/Barovier Cordonato D’Oro Hand Blown Gold Glass Lamp
This really is a stunning vintage Italian Murano Toso & Barovier Cordonato D’Oro table lamp. Hand Crafted in Italy in the 1950s, this lamp features a beautiful hand-blown gold braided glass design with pinkish accents & so much Gold shining in the glass, making it a one of a kind eye-catching piece. The lamp stands at 32 inches tall with a width of 6.5 inches at the base. All fixtures are original except for a safety plug updated to the original electric power cord for standard 110V voltage. This mid-century modern lamp is in remarkable condition, with all of its original brass fixtures and segment configuration. Almost every other lamp of this type that I have ever seen does not have its original configuration and brass. This is the full lamp, not one of those 2 segment smaller lamps. This is a true collectors piece. Incandescent or LED bulb lighting technology provide a warm and cozy glow atop this historic glasswork. The lamp’s sturdy brass and glass material, along with its amazing shining gold finish, are the perfect combination of durability and style that were classic for it’s period. Brass fixtures retain their original patina and glass work is in pristine condition with no cracks, chips or breaks. Bona fides/Provenance: Incredibly, the base is still insulated with an original October 11th edition of the Times newspaper! See photos it’s really really cool!
