A VINTAGE ROBERT L RL MORGAN MID CENTURY MODERN MCM STUDIO ART POTTERY LAMP NORTH SANDWICH, NH 1914 -1976. The pottery base has incised leaf or leaves sections perhaps stylized fern decoration repeated 4 tmes with 3 incised lines between each section and multiple incised concentric circles above the leaves on the shoulder of the base and a single circular line below the leaves. The underside of the lamp has cork attached and is signed RL Morgan. Robert Morgan worked with his wife Dorothy as potters and were member of the Leage of NH Craftsmen and also contemporaries of Heino, Scheier, and Williams. The base measures 7 1/4″ tall, 5″ in diameter, the height with the socket is 10 1/4 and the weight is 2 lbs and 7 oz. The condition is excellent and works well with the notation of all over fine crazing, a tiny pinhole near the shoulder with a teal tinge as pictured and some glaze bumps including a couple near the cord (pictured).
