L&F Moreau Pair of Vintage Art Nouveau Spelter Lamps, J. The molds for the original lamps were created by two French brothers who went under the name L&F Moreau and hid their designs during WWII, for fear they would be seized by invading Nazis; these molds were forgotten until their discovery in 1948. Hirsch’s lighting company recreated their beautiful Art Nouveau designs for his Francaise Collection, which is made in the USA. They are molded with the artists’ signature and mark on the base and side. In great condition with average wear. No chips or breaks. No lamp shades ever came with them. Figures on base 8 inches. VIntage Moreau Style Resin Art Nouveau Faux Bronze Figural Lamp is lovely and unique with very fine details. This statue is of a mother holding a nest with birds in her lap and one on her finger as her son kneeling on school bags is made from composite / rein material and finished in a faux bronze/copper. The leaves and their post are metal. It has a single bulb and an in-line dial on/off switch. There is a protective felt cover on the bottom. Excellent used vintage condition with no cracks or breaks. Wiring appears to be in very good condition. Please see the photos for the best description.

Rare Pair Antique Vintage Moreau Style Figural Cherub Metal Lamps Flute & Lute
Beautiful pair of antique/vintage flute & lute playing cherub figural lamps. There are markings cast into the base of SSNY 832 but this seems to be a foundry marking based on previous research. I do not know the actual age. There is a date of 3/24/61 on the bottoms which could be manufacture or a resale date. They are heavy, made of metal, and non-magnetic. The flute playing lamp has some minor condition issues. There is chipping paint and one of the laurel tips is broken off on the back side of the lamp (issues pictured). The color of the metal looks like the lamps are made of pewter. The lamps stand about 22″ tall to the top of the socket and have an approximate diameter of 7″ at the base. August Moreau Art Deco /Art Nouveau Table Lamp. Art Nouveau Table Lamp WORKING – This is an antique bronze table lamp signed Auguste Moreau. The piece depicts a lovely woman dressed in a beautiful flowing dress, with flowers surrounding her. This lamp is very large with three flower vine intwined lamps with lovely amber shades. Base is a very detailed bed of flowers. Has a lovely patina. She does have some chipping on her arm that adds to vintage piece. Easy fix I believe. This is truly a magnificent piece that would be a focal point to any room. Moreau was born in Paris in 1834, the youngest son of sculptor and painter Jean-Baptiste Moreau. He studied with his father and also under Augustin Drumont and Jean Thomas. In 1861, Auguste made his debut at the Salon where he would exhibit regularly until 1913. His subjects were primarily young maidens sensuously clad in swirling dress and usually decorated with flowers and birds or allegorical and genre scenes incorporating cupids and young children. His style was realistic and graceful, and his works encapsulate a feeling of innocence whilst incorporating an air of mischievous game. By checking out without an invoice you might be paying more than you should. I try to accurately assess the condition of each item.
