Gorgeous Original Antique Lamp. Heavy and solid, weighing 6 pounds. Working great and l. Working well and freshly rewired with vintage style cloth cord and Bakelite plug. Original beautiful aged patina and polished sockets. The brass Edison sockets have been cleaned and tested and are working well. We are unsure of the maker / designer of the lamp – she has the flair and design of Jules Bouy, however she could also be “inspired” by him. She is definitely a true antique – not a newer reproduction. Use the cap on the top of the lamp for holding a reverse painted shade with a hole up to about 2 inches in diameter (the cap is about 2 1/4 in diameter), or add any stained glass or slag glass shade on the finial post or a lovely fabric shade would look great too! A beautiful piece of art and lighting history. She uses 2 standard-base light bulbs up to 40 watts each (or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light). Total height – base to the top of the finial: 26 1/2. Base diameter: 6 3/4. Width across at ends of sockets: 4 1/4″ ADJUSTABLE to wider – the sockets can go all the way up to be horizontal like a “T off of the center post. You’re going to LOVE it! Beautiful and elegant Modernist ROUGIER Closed TULIP Flower LAMP Acrylic Petals 26 Tall made in 1984 by Canadian Designer Roger Rougier. There are 3 petals, all white, one of the petals has a pearlescent look. The base is 6.25″ x 6.25″ but the lamp is wider. It is in very good condition but I couldn’t dust very well between two of the petals so there is some dust. It may come apart but I did not attempt it. See photos for details. No cracks or yellowing. DEMETER DESNY REISSUE ART DECO MODERNIST CHROME & GLASS DESK TABLE LAMP. THIS EXTREMELY RARE AND AMAZING LAMP IS FROM AN EDITION CREATED BY DEMETER DURING THE 1980’S ON THE OCCASION OF AN EXHIBITION AT THE DECORATIVE ARTS MUSEUM IN PARIS. THIS REISSUE WAS MADE IN EXTREMELY LIMITED QUANTITIES AND RETAILED IN THE THOUSANDS. IT IS VERY COLLECTIBLE. LAMP MEASURES 4.7 INCHES X 4.7 INCHES SQUARE BY 5.75 INCHES TALL. THE BASE AND SQUARE TOP ARE CHROME. THE LOUVERED SHADE CONSISTS OF 7 ALMOST 1/4 INCH THICK GLASS PLATES. THERE ARE NO CHIPS, DENTS OR DETRACTING SCRATCHES. THE LAMP IS TRULY IN PHENOMENAL COSMETIC CONDITION. THE ELECTRICAL CORD WAS CUT AS IT WAS ALWAYS DISPLAYED INSIDE A GLASS CASE AND HAS NEVER BEEN PLUGGED IN BY ME. 1940s Submarine Berth Lamp. Lampshade is made of aluminium. It has sliding blades to control the amount of light with a handle made of yellow ochre Bakelite. Ends made of cast aluminium. Attached to a wall plate with 4 pre-fabricated holes for fixings. There is one metal bulb socket. The press switch is present on the electrical cord. The lamp is in very good / good condition and in full working order with age related wear and tear. The lamp has been fitted with a vintage in-line switch and has been re-wired and earthed. The lamp takes one E27 bulb. This lamp can be used with 110-230v supplies. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects. Diameter of base: 12cm/4.75.
