It has been tested to make sure it works, and is set for a three-way bulb. It has a label on the side of the base that says Mexus Ware, although the words are cut off. I’m unsure if it’s pewter or aluminum. The base is about 5.5″ x 5.5″, and there are 11 “tongues” that come up to various heights. The metal pieces have some pitting from mold flaws, there is some oxidation on the middle tube leading up to the socket, and there are some scratches on the underside of the tongues.
