Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. For your consideration is an vintage bronze Hanging Bat Lamp with art glass globe. This is a very cool piece having somewhat of a gothic edge. The fixture depicts a bat in flight while carrying a piece of fruit (the shade). Bronze in color with a very nice patina, we are unsure of the actual metal composition. The bat has wonderful detail and is finished with flame colored glass eyes. The original glass globe shade compliments the fixture very nicely which is further enhanced with a bronze ring which is decorated with extended wing bats. It is signed “AUSTRIA” on the back side of bat. The bat fixture measures approx. 20″ tall (top of ball to bottom of shade) with a 20″ wide wingspan. The shade measures approx. 3¾” tall by 3¾” at widest with a 2. The glass shade is in excellent condition with very little wear. The fixture does work and appears to be all original – unsure about the wiring or canopy chain. We currently have it wired through a dimmer switch which gives the option of an array of wonderful glows.
