1940s Submarine Berth Lamp. Lampshade is made of aluminium. It has sliding blades to control the amount of light with a handle made of yellow ochre Bakelite. Ends made of cast aluminium. Attached to a wall plate with 4 pre-fabricated holes for fixings. There is one metal bulb socket. The press switch is present on the electrical cord. The lamp is in very good / good condition and in full working order with age related wear and tear. The lamp has been fitted with a vintage in-line switch and has been re-wired and earthed. The lamp takes one E27 bulb. This lamp can be used with 110-230v supplies. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. This Vintage Theatre light has been superbly engineered, and features a die cast ventilated body, Iconic design and an internal anodised reflector. The spot light has been professionally polished to a bright mirror finish by a specialist British company. The finish is to an extremely high standard.
