Vtg Boho Table Lamp Handmade Tramp Folk Art Popsicle Stick Marbles Prison Signed
A handmade vintage piece from the 1970’s. Signed on the underside, R. VA State Prison, 500 Spring St, Richmond, VA, 1972-19-. (The second date is partially crossed out). No cracks, breaks or missing sticks or marbles that we can see. The lamp has been freshly rewired and a new brass plated harp (shade holder) has been added. It’s ready for years to come in its new life with you! The max wattage is not marked, so we suggest using an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage and also don’t produce much heat, which will protect the wood and glue. Total height – base to the top of the finial: 23 1/2. Diameter at straight sides of base and shade: 10 1/4. Diameter diagonally at points of base and shade: 11. You’re going to LOVE it! Vintage Pair Zigzag Zig Zag Art Deco, Boho, 1970’s Plaster Table Lamps Lamp
I DECIDED TO TONE DOWN THE HIGH GLOSS FINSH, TO SATIN, USING A CLEAR SPAR URETHANE VARNISH, WHICH ALSO HAD THE EFFECT OF TONING DOWN THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE COPPER COLOR. The photos have been updated to show the new appearance. This vintage pair of table lamps features a unique zigzag design and metallic copper finish, perfect for adding a touch of Art Deco style to any room. The lamps are made of plaster. They were manufactured during the 1970’s?? My guess that these lamps were made during the 1970’s, is due to the fact that the plugs are not polarized, and the wiring is definitely original. The last image shows the lamps prior to being refinished, in their original white. Everything was removed in order for all of the plaster surfaces to be refinished. The lamps are in excellent condition, except for some tarnish on the brass. Everything but the proper vintage finials are original, including the reinstalled bottom pads, and the wescal harps. The lamps are capable of accepting 3-way bulbs, if desired. 31 to the top of the harp finial. 10 widest zigzag span. 7 wide front to back.

Hand embellished one-of-a-kind shade. A lovely size for a table lamp. The shade has no rips or holes and is from a non-smoking environment. There are a few missing beads here and there and some missing feathers in the fringe here and there, but nothing very noticeable unless you’re inspecting closely (see closeups). The interior of the shade is made of heavy duty paper, and it has a couple small creases and some small marks here and there – but nothing very notable. We suggest using only LED bulbs with fabric / beaded and fringed lamp shades like these because LED bulbs do not produce much heat. This will help protect the fabric, beads and fringe. Also, the back of the shade has a skinny piece of fabric that is “trapped” inside between the lining and the outer fabric that shows when lit (see photo of back lit up).
