Matte glaze hand painted woman looks as if she’s mid-curtsy with downcast eyes, clutching her black fan. The gown is pale yellow with a pattern of tiny pink flowers, turban to match, pink trim on gown and turban. Her hair is a black French bob and her pale face is beautifully painted. The underside of the lamp base is faintly impressed with the vertical FULPER mark in an oval. Perfume or oil could be dropped into the trough around the lightbulb and the heat will infuse the air with scent through the series of tiny holes on top of the turban. Light glows softly through the pottery. Lamp works fine, no chips or damage to the pottery.
