Pair Iridescent Bohemian Art Glass Table Lamps Vintage Purple Scales Set of Two Description and Item Information Up for sale is this pair of vintage table lamps. Please excuse any glare in the photos. Each lamp has a filigree brass base with an iridescent Bohemian glass column; the glass pieces have a scales type textured pattern. Atop the glass are brass disc caps and above those are sockets, harps, and decorative filigree metal finials. The height to the top of the finial on each is approximately 23 inches. The filigree brass bases have maximum diameters of about 4 1/2 inches. There are brown cloth cords and brown plugs. Beneath, there is felt covering the base. Unpacked, these weigh 4 pounds 3.1 ounces together. They would be a lovely addition to a collection of European art glass. The glass is Bohemian, by an unknown maker. The exact age of these lamps is not known. The glass parts are presumed to be antique, and thus are older than the vintage lamp hardware. Condition The lamps look very good overall. The glass has no cracks or post-factory chips. The tops of the glass columns were ground flat when these were made into lamps, and there are a few tiny grinding fleabites from this process. The brass disc caps are slightly offset (more so on one lamp than the other) and may need adjusting in order to center them atop the glass columns. The felt beneath each lamp is torn. There are no light bulbs or shades included. There is light finish wear to the metal overall. As with all used electrical items, these should be rewired or inspected by a qualified professional before use even though the wiring and other electrical components look fine, cosmetically.
