Outstanding Plaster Cherub Post Light with Victorian Style Shade. This is a very large lamp, standing 38 tall. It is marked Continental Art Co. A quick search shows this company went out of business in 1962. This leads me to date the lamp in the late 1950’s to early 60’s based on the electrical cord and shade. Excellent condition for an item that is at least 60 years old! There was one small chip as seen in pic 7, but touched up with some paint and displays very well. Sits on a 7″ base and upper light fixture measures 15″ x 6. Statue alone measures 23 tall. Electrical is excellent, lamp works great, and retains original cord. Really a stunning lamp and not likely to come across another! It does not have attachments for a newel post, so you could need to create an adapter for that.
