This is a wonderful old vintage unusual heavy cast iron with a bronze patina treasure chest motif night light lamp from a collectors estate. Most of the items from the estate were from the early 1900s and 20s and 30s deco period. The lamp has a definate Art Nouveau repousse design in relief. The lamp is heavy at a little under 5 1/2 pounds and has a handle that you can move. Measures 7 3/8″ by 4 1/4″ by 4 5/8″ high or 6 1/4″ high with handle in up position. The old original bronze patina is nice with only slight wear on a few high points with the silver color metal underneath showing. Lamps treasure chest lid top looks like it would open but I couldnt figure it out. I gather you would have to open via the bottom with a screw driver. Puts out very little light.
