Womens Clothing & Accessories. VTG Avante-Garde American Art Deco Tall Lamp of Chrome & Brass c. Dating to the late 1920’s/early 1930’s, this unusual lamp is a brilliant example of the avant-garde constituency in the development of American modernist decorative industrial design. It is quite substantial, with base and brass breaks being composed of cast iron. The double light cluster makes this an excellent light source. This lamp has been restored and refurbished and is in excellent working order. Most all external components have been professionally re-plated in contrasting brass and chrome finishes. The original light bulb cluster has been refurbished with new. Wiring has been replaced with new period reproduction fabric covered twist-style cord and appointed with a reproduction period style plug. Shade shown in the primary photo is NOT included. This lamp utilizes two standard medium base light bulbs (not included). Smaller profile bulbs may be necessary dependent on the size shade you intend on using. Approximate dimensions are as follows.
