I would guess it dates to the 1920’s or 30’s and was made in France or Italy, but it is not marked. I have replaced the electrical socket and wiring and added a fresh pad of felt to the bottom. The socket takes a short-globe E26 base bulb like the one shown (not included).
Very heavy duty with thick glass shade. Pine cones and pine boughs sculpted into the glass. Marked Sarsaparilla’s on the back. Cord appears to have been added at a later date – I believe this would have been originally directly wired to the wiring in the wall.
