Vintage Rex Electric Art Deco Cast Iron Base Gooseneck Industrial Desk Lamp. Here we have a beautiful WORKING CONDITION art deco industrial lamp in a very retro metallic gold paint. The neck is stiff but flexable. You can tell this is a Quality made lamp with a functional base including a small bowl and a divot perfect for holding a buisness card or pens. It is remarkable how good of a condition this lamp is for its age with no major flaws. Some slight imperfections in the paint but I feel that only adds to the Industrial Steam punk feel perfect for any buisness setting or even a steam punk collector in your life. The bottom is engraved though hard to make out I believe It reads. “Rex Electric #300 D”. It is possible that there was text before the “REX” but it is hard to tell as it is completely faded. What I can tell you about this Vintage Lamp. Embossed 8 Panel Metal Lamp Cast Bronze 2 Cherubs Angels each side, Parlor Art Nouveau 19. The shade is an 8 panel with lead or soft metal tabs that are bendable on each individual. Panel for cleaning and replacement. The panels are slag glass they are a thick embossed. The hooks that hold the panels in are soft metal perhaps lead and can be bent outward to take the panels out. The shade panels are each individual panels, the top looks to be copper top. The electrical switch bulb connector is a leviton made in the USA switch with a press on off post which may or may not be Original. The cord is five feet long and is a two prong plug. That’s all I can tell you about this beautiful lamp. If you know what the Markings are please let me know it looks to me like FRS? (Bulb is not included). To the top of the finial is 60″ extends up to 62″ (shown). The finial is 3 long. The tree is 7 diameter. Overall the base is 10 diameter. Brass socket bells, finial, and lower column sleeve. Cast iron base, tree, and column spacers. Cast into the base: C. All joints are snug. Original medium base E-26 sockets. The cord is six feet long. New old school style non-polarized plug. Just a touch of surface rust under the base. No cracks or chips. Nicks, scratches, and wear to the finish you should expect to see. The bulbs are not included. Offering this beautiful old lamp, possibly for reading in the boudoir. It looks like it’s mostly cast iron with a vintage repaint in gold and green and a vintage reproduction beaded shaded. It also had a vintage rewiring some years ago and works great. There are two notch openings in the underside of the arm with the light bulb; presumably the original wiring was pulled through them. There is normal display wear to the lamp, but it’s overall in good condition and displays wonderfully.
