Onderful 1950s Murano art glass swirl table lamp & original shade fresh from a local estate. Amp as swirls of white (bands separated by silver), yellow, brown. And copper flecked glass. Base, neck and pinecone finial seem to be brass. Paper textured shade with gold rope detail. Amp is in overall excellent vintage condition. No damage to the glass. Base and other brass have nice patina and minor scratches. Shade in excellent condition for its age with only some minor marks. No tears or dents. Amp is 39 to top of finial. About 20 from base to bottom of shade. Shade 16″ high x 14″ diameter. Base is a 4.75″ rounded square that is 2″ high. VTG 1930s Art Deco Teardrop Lamp Murano Blown Glass Smoke Brown Brass Base Works

Vintage Art Deco brown smoked glass teardrop table lamp, featuring hand blown Murano glass, brass base, 3-way socket, and 6-ft gold cord. Height = 21 to base of socket. Diameter = 6.5 across base. Glass has no cracks or scratches. One small bubble was found, to be expected with hand blown glass. The interior ribbed glass tube that channels the cord appears to have a crack on close inspection (see photo 9), but this is uncertain and is not noticeable. The electrical appears to be original but may have been replaced during the past. If so, care was taken to maintain the period look with quality components by Leviton. The socket is 3-way. The gold cord matches the base. The curved brass base has symmetrical lines that create a sense of upward movement, a classic Art Deco motif. There are light tarnish spots, as shown.
