This gorgeous blackamoor nubian bust TV table lamp is in lovely condition. It is mostly black glaze apart from the feathers at the top which is more of a gray drip glaze. The lamp is in working condition, but will flicker if cord is wiggled. It either needs to be tighten or replaced with a modern cord altogether. There are no chips or cracks to be found but there is a small spot where the glazing didn’t take on the ceramic. The lamp measures approx 12 inches tall. The felt on the bottom is missing. For your consideration: Mid Century Modern, ceramic greyhound dog T. V light in good working condition. The overall condition is very good with no chips, cracks or stains. There are two areas of wear with an indentation on the upper log and 1/4″ of “roughness on the front log (see pictures 6 & 7). The light works perfectly. The dimensions are 13″ long (nose to outer log), 7.5″ high (top of head) and 5.25 deep. Under the greyhound is hollow area where one could put decor or faux flowers. RARE Unique MCM Art Pottery Nubian Bust TV Lamp. This vintage BLACKAMOOR – NUBIAN bust TV lamp has a brown gloss glaze with a little a drip type glaze accent to top of turban. Back of head is hollow standard light bub screws in and turn nob on/off switch is located (working properly). TV lamp is not marked in any way, but most likely Royal Haeger or Royal China Company. Great age appropriate WORKING condition… The felt is missing from the bottom. 12 1/2 at tallest point. 9 at widest points. 6 at deepest points. Let the pictures speak for themselves. READ CAREFULLY She does dance as she should however she has an issue. The hooks that hold the skirt are missing. Some one has mounted little pins on the side to hold the skirt so she’ll dance. She dances for a short period of time before the skirt gets tangles on the pins and she stops. This has caused the skirt to fray on the back side over time. The switch works as it should. She lights up only, dances only and dances with light on. Although I’m not an expert I believe the skirt to be original but in the condition noted above. The socket seems to be period. I measured about 16 from the floor to the top of her head. A shade is not included. Please look at the pictures carefully. I’m listing as for parts or repair. Sorry for the inconvenience. MADE BY THE HOUZE GLASS CO, PT. MADE IN THE 1930’S. STANDS APPROXIMATELY 9 1/2″ TO THE TOP OF THE SHADE AND 11″ TO THE TOP OF THE FINIAL. THE BASE OF THE LAMP IS SQUARE WITH A 3 STEP DESIGN MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 4″ X 4″ AT THE BASE AND 3 TALL TO THE METAL SOCKET AND SWITCH. THE SHADE MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 3″ X 3″ X 3 1/4 TALL. A DIFFERENT DOG DESIGN ON EACH SIDE OF THE SHADE. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL NICKS TO THE PAINT ON THE DOGS. THE CORD HAS BEEN REPLACED AND DOES HAVE AN INLINE SWITCH OR THE SWITCH ON THE LAMP CAN BE USED. GLASS IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. LEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS.
