Vintage Moss lamp with DeLee Art Siamese dancer California Pottery 1940s 50s

Beautiful design from Moss Lamps of California, with and Asian theme. Figurine is ceramic and made by DeLee Art. He’s about 12 tall and in good condition, with fine details. The acrylic lamp base has a design behind the Siamese man that lights up, with a night light bulb. It’s reminiscent of a Moorish arch, or the Taj Mahal, but also looks like lit drapery, with the corrugated acrylic used. One of the best designs from the early Moss line, probably from the late 1940s. There’s a small planter on each side, for artificial plants. Finial is not original, but seems to suit the theme. What a weird lamp!! This lamp is HEAVY. We think it is made of cast iron, possibly steel. It has a gold-silver metallic finish to it. This is NOT MADE OF GOLD!! The word gold can actually be used to describe a color, believe it or not! Will need rewiring as the current wiring is brittle and falling apart!! When the switch clicks, it means the lamp is off, and when the switch is somewhere vertical, the lamp is ON. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY YOU MAY SUSTAIN WHILE OPERATING THIS LAMP – Not saying that you’ll injure yourself but do BE CAREFUL! It is old and metal.. There is a cutout in the trunk. We are not sure what it’s intended purpose is, but we think it would make a cool planter! No maker’s mark. We have not been able to find another piece like this one anywhere. Weighs 6 pounds, 9 ounces. This lamp came out of Harvey Donegan’s estate in Warren, Arkansas. He was an inveterate collector of all things. Some of his most interesting finds came from the discarded items that proliferate on New York Streets. Harvey crossed paths with many famous and nearly famous individuals in his 6 decades in NY. His letters make frequent mention of Gore Vidal and Andy Warhol. Harvey’s grandparents, the Cokers, built a large hotel in Warren, Arkansas prior to WWI. It is still standing and was the repository for so many items that Harvey collected during his NY years. It is unknown when all his articles were transported from New York to Warren or how they got there, but all items found in the hotel date from the 1970’s or earlier. Antique Vtg Art Deco Floor Lamp Vaseline Glass GLOWS, Milk Glass Brass Hurricane

Ornate Art Deco GLOWING Floor Lamp. Jadeite / Uranium / Vaseline Glass & Milk Glass Details. This is a perfect example of the beautiful Art Deco design. This lamp has been totally restored and yet still has some of its original patina in the cast iron base and the Vaseline glass holders which still have the original gold paint. The much desired green & brown c. Colored large jadeite piece has the original gold painted caps which match the base. Everything else is brass and has been taken apart piece-by-piece and machine polished, including the intricately detailed brass poles, the collars and the hurricane holder and brass socket. This UNIQUE floor lamp also has a thick “milk glass” bowl/font top which just adds amazing character to this one-of-a-kind lamp. The underside of the cast iron base is marked “WF S968″ This has been suggested to be the “Warren Foundry Cast Iron Company” out of. Which would date this lamp to the 1920’s. And of course it works great! We are also including the flame style bulb and clear glass chimney that you see in the photos (new). 59 tall (just barely under 5 feet). The Vaseline glass piece is 10″ x 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2. The milk glass is 5″ diameter wide x 3″ high. 9 diameter lamp base. You’re going to absolutely LOVE this Lamp! Presenting a beautiful Art Deco chrome lady lamp with gorgeous cobalt ribbed cylinder glass shade. There are some very light inconspicuous blemishes and 3 small silver paint touch ups to the chrome. We have shown 2, there is one tiny tiny one we have not shown. We assume the touches were to cover oxidation oxidation spots. The base is actually in very good condition with the mentioned issues. The ribbed shade is in excellent condition without chips or flea bites. Probably rewired in the 60s or 70s based on the plug. The base 6 1/2 in diameter.
