VTG Avante-Garde American Art Deco Tall Lamp of Chrome & Brass c. 1930 RESTORED
Womens Clothing & Accessories. VTG Avante-Garde American Art Deco Tall Lamp of Chrome & Brass c. Dating to the late 1920’s/early 1930’s, this unusual lamp is a brilliant example of the avant-garde constituency in the development of American modernist decorative industrial design. It is quite substantial, with base and brass breaks being composed of cast iron. The double light cluster makes this an excellent light source. This lamp has been restored and refurbished and is in excellent working order. Most all external components have been professionally re-plated in contrasting brass and chrome finishes. The original light bulb cluster has been refurbished with new. Wiring has been replaced with new period reproduction fabric covered twist-style cord and appointed with a reproduction period style plug. Shade shown in the primary photo is NOT included. This lamp utilizes two standard medium base light bulbs (not included). Smaller profile bulbs may be necessary dependent on the size shade you intend on using. Approximate dimensions are as follows. Antique Table Lamp PLB Cast Iron Brass Vtg Art Deco Light Rewired USA #Q22
Original finish and parts. Shown lit so you can imagine how wonderful the lamp will look in your home. Scroll to view all the pictures. The overall height is 19″ when the harp is fully extended (harp can be lowered 5″). The base is 7″ x 7″. The very top of the harp is 3 1/4″ diameter, and the base of the harp is 3 3/4″ diameter. Brass plate cast iron base, column spacer, and harp. Brass socket, column sleeve, harp finger locks, socket chain, and ball pull. Good threads on all the finger locks. Cast into the base: PLB & (last three letters are too faint too read) 1827. Original “BRYANT” fat-boy medium base E-26 socket. On/off pull chain switch. The cord is six feet long. No cracks or chips. A touch of dirt and tarnish under the base. Nicks, scratches, and wear to the finish you should expect to see. The light bulb is not included. Look over the item and read the description. Atq/Vtg Alabaster Hand Carved Acanthus Leaves Flowers Floral Design Marble Neo Classical Style Table Lamp. This lamp is beautifully carved with leaves and flowers. Two tips of leaves are broken off(See pics) this can be considered normal for its age. The lamp works great even with the cord in its current condition. The lamp has a marble black and white base. I tried to show the lamp in daylight, at night w/light on and w/a shade. I cleaned the entire lamp and it’s gorgeous. Measurements 23 High To Top of Finial. This light has a new era correct chrome base, along with sockets, wires, and mounting hardware. Ready for immediate installation in todays modern ceiling boxes. The vintage glass shade is in wonderful condition, a few very slight scratches/specs but overall fabulous condition for the age. The light has a wonderful blue enameled and clear glass shade. The fixture has a clear spiral accenting glass stem as well. The light is a medium size measuring 11″ inches tall total x 10″ inches in diameter.
