Vintage Art Deco Style Lady Figurine Wooden Table Lamp Base Very Unusual Rare. Stunning unique vintage Lamp base. In an art deco style. Featuring a green seated lady, not sure if she is made of a resin, but. Does have a few chips which show white underneath. Wooden base with a wood upstand. The on off switch is an old wall switch. Has been pat tested and works, but will need a bulb. 43cm tall, 20cm wide and 23cm front to back. In vintage condition, some signs of use and wear. Some chips to the figurine. This striking vintage Murano lamp features pieces of twisted ballotini/zanfirico glass cane suspended in a glass slab. The floating abstract spirals bring to mind DNA or single celled organisms viewed through a microscope. There is a gentle rippling and waviness to the hand-formed glass that evokes ice or still water. While this lamp has an extremely similar shape to the more common aquarium lamps by Cenedese/Barbini, I have done a little research and not been able to find any other lamps made in this particular pattern. Could possibly be a unique, one-off experimental piece by the studio. As you can see, this item is in very good condition for its age, with some light overall surface wear. It has been rewired and is ready to use. It measures 23.5″ tall to the top of the shade, 11.5″ tall to the top of the glass base and weighs around 8 pounds. The switch clicks twice to turn on or off, which I think means it is compatible with 3-way dimmable bulbs. Comes with a clip-on style drum shade. Here we have a wonderful unusual brass table lamp base. This has been made from an old brass shell, I cannot see any markings on the shell so don’t know which conflict it would have been from but it is definitely of the period. I would imagine this dates to around 1940 and is a one off piece – I have never seen another like it. It measures approximately 18.75 inches tall to the top of the shade holder by 7 inches at the base. It comes with approximately 1m of cable. Weighs around 1.25kgs. Very decoratively made, a perfect addition to any collection of trench art or any home. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
