A bashful beauty in Victorian attire peeks out from behind an abstract tree with her body flat and arms around the trunk. Her lower torso has begun to disappear into the textured bronze timber and the two are becoming one. The graceful upsweep of the base leads to 3 great shade holder arms that span like branches, 13 inches from one decorative tip to the next. The unique figure-base design allows for viewing and enjoyment from multiple points of view. Tipping the scales at over 9 lbs, this large figure lamp base is in very good condition and in working order with minor surface blemish consistent with age. I see beautiful blue-green patina build-up around her neck and shoulders. I detect no structural issues. A magnet does not attract. All electric parts appear to be in good shape, including the old socket and wire. The “Red Strata” art glass shade colors were inspired by the conglomerate rock of northern Arizona with soft Tuscan ivory textured marble as a backdrop.
