This is a familiar vintage lamp base design with raised floral motifs reminiscent of Rembrandt fixtures. It is very well built, most fittings feel tight and all metal parts appear to be original and complementary to the general design. The curved lamp stem is a little off center and one of two friction swivels seems a bit loose but tightens with a hand tool. The candelabra socket may be a recent addition. The vented shade holder fits a 3 fitter shade. The metal has aged to a beautiful bronze finish and a magnet does not attract. I do not see any maker’s mark. The wiring is old but functional and absent a control switch. The art glass shade accompanied the lamp base and lights up with a lovely rich amber personality. The design looks like that of Loetz but I do not see any markings. The fitter is 3 inches and the glass shade is in remarkably good condition. The wavy scalloped finish around the edges complements the floral decorations of the base nicely. (from base to top of curved stem). Height / Length – 5 inches. Width at Opening – 8. Check socket and replace if warranted. Add a dimmer or cord control switch. Clean, replace or upgrade friction swivel(s).
