I would guess it dates to the 1920’s or 30’s and was made in France or Italy, but it is not marked. I have replaced the electrical socket and wiring and added a fresh pad of felt to the bottom. The socket takes a short-globe E26 base bulb like the one shown (not included).

The bases appear to solid hunks of Bakelite (not tested but from the right period). Larger than most, standing 12 tall. Cracks appear to be natural & original.

Really nice art Nouveau oil lamp. The column has some scratches. The font has a refractory inclusion from manufacture. It will be packed in an oversized box very tightly to avoid any movement in transit.

This is a Vintage Art Deco Table Lamp. Made of Brass with a Stone Orb Insert Alabaster? The Base is in an octagonal “Emerald” shape and seems to be made of a white/silver metal with a gold finish (see photo showing the bottom of the base). Rewired with “newer” electrical, cord and plug (likely replaced within the last 20-30 years). No Harp or Lampshade included. In very good, vintage condition (see photos). There is some wear due to use and age… Some staining and scratches on the Stone/Alabaster Insert… Assuming that it can be cleaned/polished if desired. Measures approximately 15-1/2″ tall (to the top of the light bulb socket), 6-7/8″ long, and 4-3/4 wide. Please contact me with any questions.
